Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer for a Richards Bay facility. You will design, implement, and optimize chemical processes to boost yield, efficiency, and safety while leading pilot studies and scale-up activities.

You will collaborate with R&D, production, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure regulatory compliance, contributing to the company’s growth and technological advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of process design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
• Conduct process simulations, pilot plant studies, and scale-up activities for new or existing chemical products.
• Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless process implementation and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to chemical operations.
