Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to join a hotel kitchen on a wine estate in Stellenbosch. You’ll run your own section, ensuring prep is ready before service and dishes are cooked, plated and presented to high standards.

You will mentor junior chefs and collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on seasonal menus to maintain exceptional quality and consistency.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie in a quality kitchen.
Experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant or wine estate kitchen would be an advantage.
Strong cooking skills and a good understanding of preparation techniques and plating.
Confidence running a section independently and staying organised under pressure.
Attention to detail, a professional approach and willingness to support the wider team.

Responsibilities

Run your section from prep through service, keeping it organised and ready for busy periods.
Prepare; cook and plate dishes to the kitchen’s standards, with close attention to quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Assist with menu development and help introduce new seasonal dishes.
Supervise and train junior team members on your section.
Keep track of stock, minimise waste and maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and the rest of the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.
