Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Catering Supervisor to lead catering operations for high-profile events in Sandton. You will oversee event execution, manage catering staff, ensure exceptional client service, and uphold top standards of food quality and presentation.

This role requires hands-on leadership, on-site troubleshooting, and the ability to coordinate with venues and clients to deliver seamless events in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a supervisory/management role in catering or hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in fast-paced events.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service, safety and presentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and on-site decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage catering teams during events with clear direction.
• Oversee setup, execution, and breakdown per timelines and specs.
• Monitor quality, presentation and service standards; adjust as needed.
• Train and mentor junior staff to maintain high performance.
• Be the on-site point of contact for clients and venue managers.
• Manage inventory of event supplies and equipment.
