Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Cashier for the Liberty Promenade Mall store. You will support customer service at the point of sale, record transactions, and adhere to company policies to eliminate fraud risk.

The role requires Grade 12, 3+ years cashier experience, MS Office proficiency, strong English, and reliable retail hours. You will manage cash flow, handle loyalty transactions, and maintain security standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Minimum 3 years cashier/till operations experience.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Sound numerical skills.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Basic customer service.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Record customer transactions on the Dis-Chem operating system according to SOPs.
• Report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.
• Transact all purchases – receive and process all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons).
• Process all loyalty cards including partner programs.
• Ensure cash is placed in the drop safe according to SOPs.
• Handle daily takings confidentially and report suspicious behaviour to management.
