Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Casual Cashier for Carnival Mall stores in Gauteng. You will support customer service at point of sale and record transactions with accuracy, following Dis-Chem policies and SOPs.

The role requires a Matric, at least 6 months cashier experience, strong numeracy and English skills, and flexibility to work retail hours. Safety, loyalty processing, and daily till reconciliation are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum 6 months cashier/till experience.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Sound numerical skills.
• Strong command of English.
• Basic customer service.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures.
• Establish a professional relationship with customers.
• Report customer complaints to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.
• Transact all purchases and process payments (cash, cards, vouchers, etc.).
• Process loyalty cards for partner programs.
• Ensure cash is secured in the till and drop safes as SOPs.
