Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer to lead design and delivery of C&I projects from Cape Town or Midrand. You will oversee PLC/DCS, SCADA/HMI, industrial networks, and OPC/API integrations, while guiding a team and coordinating with clients and management.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely project delivery across multiple phases and tenders.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and oversee C&I designs, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
• Budgeting and scheduling for C&I projects and coordinating with other disciplines.
• Validate quality of work and supervise C&I team methodologies.
• Identify opportunities for new projects and process improvements.
• Develop and deliver C&I project presentations internally and to clients.
• Oversee timely completion of deliverables for tenders and projects.
• Promote a safe, value-driven work environment aligned with SHEQ policies.
• Develop PLC/DCS and SCADA/HMI system designs and integrate with 3rd party interfaces.
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure quality standards.
• Lead commissioning QA and inspections and drive zero-harm safety culture.
• Model company values and promote a safe working environment at all times.
