About the Role

Our client, a dynamic financial services firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying areas for improvement, and defining system requirements to enhance operational efficiency and client service within the Banking & Finance sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of business processes and technology solutions. This role is crucial for driving digital transformation and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with business users and technical teams.
• Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support system implementation.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
• Serve as a liaison between business units and IT departments.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure alignment with project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Banking & Finance industry.
• Proven experience in requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of business process modeling and system analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with financial systems and software is a significant advantage.
