Job summary

RecruitMyMom seeks an experienced Finance professional to lead the full bookkeeping function across multiple entities, up to trial balance. The role emphasizes VAT and SARS compliance, accurate reporting, and robust month-end processes.

You will manage bank reconciliations, journals, and fixed assets, while supporting management with cash flow updates and ad-hoc analysis. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of comprehensive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (Diploma or Degree).
• Experience overseeing accounting records across multiple entities.
• Strong VAT and SARS compliance management experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full bookkeeping function through to trial balance across multiple entities.
• Process and review journals, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain balance sheet accuracy.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Compile schedules for tax, SARS compliance, and annual audit purposes.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations and assist with EMP201 and EMP501 submissions.
• Monitor accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, payments, and arrears collection.
• Provide daily cash flow updates, audit files, and adhoc financial analysis.
