Job summary

West Coast Personnel is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper in the Western Cape to manage financial reporting, journals and month‑end processes for multiple entities. The role requires strong technical accounting and organizational skills and a valid SA ID.

The ideal candidate holds Grade 12 and a BCom Accounting or Advanced Diploma, with at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience. You will handle VAT, SARS submissions, stock reconciliations and daily cash flow, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and relevant accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ bookkeeping experience.
• Experience managing multiple entities and complex reconciliations.
• Valid South African ID.
• Strong technical accounting and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting, journals, reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Review bank, petty cash, credit card, debtors and creditors reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts, audit files and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage VAT, EMP201, withholding tax and other SARS submissions.
• Oversee stock reconciliations, stock takes, import costing and related journals.
• Process foreign payments and assist with import and export administration.
• Maintain fixed asset records, intercompany loans and royalty accounting.
• Monitor daily cash flow and investment accounts.
• Approve payments, verify beneficiaries and maintain fraud-prevention controls.
• Provide support across cashbook, creditors and debtors functions when required.
