# Senior BoilermakerHome / Senior Boilermaker**Location:**Lichtenburg,North West,South AfricaAfrimat Industries (Pty) Ltd, Tswana Lime has a vacancy for a:## Senior BoilermakerAfrimat Industries is seeking an experienced Boilermaker with 5 years’ Boilermaker experience in fabrication, welding, and structural repairs. Exposure to shutdown maintenance and structural integrity work. In this role the successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of fabrication, welding, structural repair, and maintenance work on fixed plant equipment and infrastructure to support safe, reliable, and continuous operations at Afrimat.##### Minimum Qualifications / Experience* Matric (Grade 12).* N3 relevant to Trade.* Red Seal Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker).* 3-5 years post-trade experience in mining, quarrying, or heavy industrial environments* Valid driver’s licence (where operationally required)* MHSA requirements related to hot work and fabrication* Fixed plant structural components and fabrication methods* Welding techniques and welding safety standards* Wear protection systems and materials* Planned maintenance and shutdown execution* Structural failure modes and integrity risks* Maintenance documentation and job card discipline* Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act.##### Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):* Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, and structural repair work on fixed plant equipment and infrastructure.* Manufacture, repair, and modify chutes, hoppers, bins, guards, supports, platforms, and structural components.* Apply welding techniques (e.g. arc, MIG, TIG as applicable) to required specifications and quality standards.* Conduct wear plate installation, liner replacement, and structural reinforcement where required.* Execute maintenance and shutdown tasks in line with maintenance schedules and job cards.* Prepare materials, tools, and equipment required for fabrication and repair work.* Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and site standards during fabrication activities.* Complete timesheets, job cards, service hours, reports, and maintenance documentation accurately.* Record work performed (including drawing up schematics), materials used, and structural defects identified.* Provide clear technical feedback to support planning, follow-up work, and compliance* Work collaboratively with Artisans, Assistants, and Apprentices.* Performs any other reasonable tasks when requested by Engineering Supervisor##### Please send the following documents to apply:Please upload the following documents in one file with the application form to the right.
