Job summary

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• N3 relevant to Trade.
• Red Seal Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker) mandatory.
• 3-5 years post-trade experience in mining, quarrying, or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication, welding, cutting, and structural repair on fixed plant equipment and infrastructure.
• Manufacture, repair, and modify chutes, hoppers, bins, guards, supports, platforms, and structural components.
• Apply welding techniques (arc, MIG, TIG) to required specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct wear plate installation, liner replacement, and structural reinforcement where required.
• Execute maintenance and shutdown tasks according to schedules and job cards.
• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for fabrication and repair; follow drawings and site standards.
• Record work performed, materials used, and defects; provide technical feedback for planning.
