Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a BIM Specialist for a Queenstown-based architectural/engineering consultancy in the Eastern Cape. You will develop BIM standards, templates, and libraries, manage complex BIM models, and support staff with BIM best practices to ensure project coordination.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, resolve clashes, and drive BIM enhancements across the practice while keeping pace with emerging BIM workflows and technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as BIM Specialist, Coordinator, or Manager in AEC.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience with other BIM tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of architectural design and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, templates, and libraries for architectural projects.
• Create and manage complex BIM models, ensuring data integrity and model coordination across disciplines.
• Provide training and support to architectural and design staff on BIM software and best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve clashes and facilitate interdisciplinary coordination.
• Stay abreast of BIM technology developments and recommend improvements.
