Placements24 is recruiting a Lead BIM Specialist for a prestigious architectural firm in Cape Town. You will develop and enforce BIM standards, manage workflows, and lead a team of technicians and coordinators across projects from concept to completion.

Hybrid role with both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in BIM and lead experience, plus proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, and strong design/construction knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
7+ years of BIM coordination/management experience, including 2+ years in a lead role.
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain BIM standards, protocols and workflows for architectural projects.
Lead and manage the BIM team, providing guidance, training and mentorship.
Oversee creation and management of BIM models with data accuracy and project compliance.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve clashes.
Champion BIM adoption and effective use of BIM technologies.
Perform BIM quality assurance checks on project deliverables.
Stay updated with BIM software advancements and related tech.
Prepare reports on BIM progress, issues and solutions.
