About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking construction technology company, is looking for an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator to join their fully remote team. This role is ideal for a meticulous and tech-savvy professional who excels in developing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and workflows. As a remote-first organization, our client leverages advanced collaborative platforms and digital tools to ensure seamless project delivery and team integration. You will be responsible for leading BIM efforts across various construction projects, ensuring that models are coordinated, clash-free, and effectively utilized throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing efficiency, reducing errors, and improving project outcomes for clients across the country, with a focus on projects relevant to the Polokwane region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM execution plans (BEPs) for construction projects.
• Coordinate and manage the creation and delivery of BIM models by project teams.
• Conduct clash detection and model coordination meetings using Navisworks or similar software.
• Ensure that all BIM models adhere to project standards, specifications, and required levels of development (LOD).
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and fabricators to resolve model coordination issues.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
• Manage the library of BIM content and ensure its consistent application.
• Track BIM progress and report on model quality and coordination status.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies, software updates, and industry best practices.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders in a remote environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in BIM coordination and management on construction projects.
• Proven expertise in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and other relevant BIM software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and workflows.
• Excellent knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver results in a remote setting.
• Experience in leading coordination meetings and resolving complex model issues.

• Familiarity with 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost) BIM applications is a plus.
