Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist to join their forward-thinking construction technology team. You will develop, manage and implement BIM strategies for projects across SA and internationally, leveraging Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.

Work remotely with geographically dispersed teams, drive 4D/5D simulations, clash detection, and design coordination while upholding ISO 19650 standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of BIM coordination and modeling experience.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of BIM standards (ISO 19650).
• Experience with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote teams.

You will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing BIM strategies and workflows to enhance design coordination, clash detection, and construction sequencing. This role demands a deep understanding of BIM software, standards, and best practices, coupled with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed project teams. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for various construction projects.
• Create and manage detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) disciplines.
• Perform clash detection analysis and coordinate with design teams to resolve conflicts before construction begins.
• Generate construction documents, drawings, and visualizations from BIM models.
• Assist in the development of construction sequencing and 4D/5D BIM simulations.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and processes.
• Collaborate remotely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure effective BIM integration.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM software updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all BIM models and project deliverables.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM coordination and modeling.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and best practices.
• Experience with various project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
