Job summary

CF Consulting is seeking a senior Business Development Manager based in Johannesburg to drive revenue across logistics, warehousing and related supply chain services. You will own the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to close, leveraging an established network to engage senior decision-makers.

The role requires 7–10 years in logistics sales with a proven track record of winning new business and achieving revenue targets.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of proven business development, sales or key account management experience within logistics, warehousing, freight or supply chain.
• Demonstrable track record of winning significant new business and achieving revenue targets.
• Established network of client relationships within logistics, manufacturing, retail, FMCG, mining or related sectors.
• Strong commercial negotiation and deal structuring capabilities.
• Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to engage with senior executives and negotiate strategically.
• Understanding of logistics operations, pricing, margins and competitive positioning.
• Self-starter who operates independently and takes ownership of commercial results.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across logistics, warehousing, freight and supply chain services.
• Leverage an established industry network to access decision-makers and accelerate deal flow.
• Develop and execute targeted business development strategies across key industries.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to commercial negotiation and deal closure.
• Structure commercially viable proposals that protect margin while remaining competitive.
• Grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling and service expansion.
• Build relationships with C-suite executives, procurement leaders and senior operations stakeholders.
• Maintain a healthy commercial pipeline and deliver against revenue targets.
• Work closely with operations and commercial teams to ensure onboarding and service delivery.
