Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to own the commercial performance for an assigned sector. You’ll lead complex deals, drive revenue growth, and coach cross-pod teams while managing a blended existing-book and new-logo pipeline.

You will collaborate with Sales Operations, Product, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant pricing and governance, while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes and strategic account growth across South Africa.

• Seniority in new-business acquisition, account growth, and retention.
• Ability to influence complex, high-value deals with multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced pipeline management, forecasting, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Strong stakeholder influence, communication, and ethical selling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targets across existing-book growth, retention, and new-logo acquisition.
• Coach Account Managers and Business Development Managers in prospecting, discovery, value articulation, negotiation, closing, and account growth.
• Drive disciplined pipeline creation, progression, and qualification; support deal reviews and forecasting.
• Provide defined, time-bound commercial cover during vacancies or capacity gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
