Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote role in the blockchain infrastructure space. Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs, leveraging Go, Rust, Python, or Java to power decentralized applications.

You will work on distributed systems, integrate with nodes, manage SQL/NoSQL data, and ensure security and scalability while collaborating with frontend teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Proven track record building scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with Go, Rust, Python, or Java.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of blockchain principles and related tech.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs for blockchain applications.
• Implement and optimize distributed systems to ensure scalability and fault tolerance.
• Work with Go, Rust, Python, or Java for backend development.
• Integrate with blockchain nodes and protocols for data flow and transactions.
• Develop and manage SQL and NoSQL databases for blockchain data.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; contribute to architectural decisions.
