Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Blockchain Engineer with a strong backend focus to join a fully remote engineering team. You will build and maintain core infrastructure powering innovative blockchain products and services, requiring expertise in distributed systems, cryptography, and scalable backend development.

You will design and deploy backend services, optimize blockchain protocols, and contribute to system architecture alongside a global team of experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of backend software development experience, with at least 2 years in blockchain development.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or Python.
• Solid understanding of blockchain architecture, distributed Ledger technology, and cryptographic principles.
• Experience with smart contract development and deployment on Ethereum.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs for blockchain applications.
• Implement and optimize core blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, and network infrastructure.
• Write secure and efficient smart contracts focusing on security and gas optimization.
• Design and manage database schemas for blockchain data.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services and ensure seamless user experiences.
• Monitor blockchain networks, identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain system integrity.
