Placements24 is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote team. You will design, build, and scale backend services for blockchain applications, working with Go, Rust, Java, Python, or Node.js.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code. Desirable candidates bring experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible, and CI/CD, plus strong collaboration, security, and performance focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Backend Engineer with scalable systems
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, Python, or Node.js
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of IaC and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable backend services for blockchain apps
• Write clean, maintainable code in Go, Rust, Java, Python or Node.js
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices
• Optimize performance, scalability and reliability of systems
• Collaborate with frontend, product and other stakeholders
• Implement security measures for backend systems
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform/Ansible
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot to ensure high availability
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Stay current with backend and blockchain advancements
