Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications powering core products, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers, product managers, and designers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend development, strong proficiency in Python/Java/Go/Node.js, and hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker and Kubernetes, and both SQL and NoSQL

Qualifications

5+ years of professional backend experience.
Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
Experience with cloud platforms and containerization.
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Ability to work effectively in a remote team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote, agile environment.
Write clean, well-tested code and ensure high software quality.
Optimize performance, queries, and architecture for reliability.
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and troubleshoot production issues.
