Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems powering core products and mentor junior engineers in a distributed environment.

You will work on challenging problems, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver robust APIs. The role offers strong flexibility and a remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java; experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries for performance and scalability.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error handling solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and drive technical excellence.
