Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in aviation safety management, preferably corporate or airline ops.
• In-depth knowledge of SMS, risk management, and aviation regulations.
• Experience with incident investigation techniques and reporting protocols.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to work remote and on-site in Sandton.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the SMS in accordance with SACAA and international standards.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses for all aviation operations.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations, determine root causes, recommend actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to foster safety culture.
• Monitor regulatory changes and keep the SMS compliant and up-to-date.
