Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment seeks a Senior Application Developer to build customised applications within an agile SDLC for a government entity. You will translate requirements into design, write and test code, and document work to support future developers and users.

You will design, develop and deploy from specifications, maintaining governance and lifecycle management. You will also contribute to eLearning solutions to train and support end-users.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering and/or Information Systems and/or Information Technology, and/or a related technical certification in an IT field.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience as an application developer.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET, Web Forms, MVC 5, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Microsoft SQL Server and stored procedures, and Blazor.
• Proficiency in source code management applications.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into the design and development of customised applications in an agile environment.
• Design, develop and deploy programs from program specifications.
• Construct and implement application programs.
• Construct and develop programs, including coding, testing and debugging.
• Ensure documentation of code and classes.
• Coordinate application plans with the development team or the government entity.
• Adhere to the government entity's SDLC and ALM methodologies and processes.
• Design, develop and deploy eLearning solutions that meet the government's needs and optimise efficacy through training and support.
