Job summary

Lead Application Developer role in a Cape Town-based government setting. You will helm diverse technical teams, translate user requirements into the design and development of customised applications, and own the build from specification to production in an agile environment.

You will lead, code, and coordinate plans while enforcing SDLC/ALM standards and delivering eLearning solutions to train and support users.

Qualifications

• A tertiary IT/CS qualification or related technical certification.
• At least 10 years as an application developer.
• 5+ years leading a development team.
• Experience with SDLC/ALM methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse technical teams translating user requirements into design and development of customised applications.
• Design, develop and deploy programs from specifications and prototypes to production.
• Construct and implement application programs including coding, testing and debugging.
• Document code and classes for maintainability.
• Coordinate application plans with the development team and government entity.
• Adhere to SDLC/ALM methodologies and processes.
• Design, develop and deploy eLearning solutions to meet needs and optimise training.
