Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Android Mobile Engineer to join their team, responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimising Android applications deployed on custom Android devices for Point of Sale and payment solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable and high-performing mobile applications, contributing to technical architecture, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle. This role requires strong Kotlin and Java development skills, expert knowledge of Android SDK and architecture, and experience with DevOps practices, automated testing, and continuous delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, QA, Engineering, and Operations teams, provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and support production deployments and ongoing application improvements.
- 7+ years of Android Application Development experience
- Demonstrated experience with Kotlin development
- Strong experience with Java development
- Experience with Android SDK, mobile architecture, and design patterns
- Experience developing applications for custom Android devices
- Experience integrating APIs and backend services
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
