Job summary

Parvana in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Android developer to contribute to our Kotlin Android app, with 5+ years in software development and 4+ years in Kotlin.

You will design, develop, test, review code, monitor performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and publish updates to the Play Store, using RESTful APIs, Git, MVC/MVVM, Firebase, Go, and GCP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development, including 4+ years of Kotlin experience.
• Experience in architecting, developing, testing, and maintaining Android mobile applications.
• Practical experience with dependency management, RESTful APIs, and web services.
• Proficiency with Git revision control and issue tracking or management systems.
• Advanced understanding of programming fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, OOP, and design patterns (e.g., MVC/MVVM).
• Beneficial experience with e-commerce applications, Firebase, Go, Google Cloud Platform, and AI / MCP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a strong drive for results.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work well within a team, and skill in building and maintaining relationships.
