About the Role

I'm partnering with a leading organisation undergoing an exciting period of digital and product transformation, and we're looking to connect with an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer with strong Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience.

This is a hands-on senior engineering position where you'll take ownership of complex mobile features and technical components across Android and iOS, with a particular focus on shared KMP architecture and code.

You'll play a key role in shaping technical decisions, improving engineering standards and delivering scalable mobile solutions across multiple products and markets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the design, development and delivery of complex mobile features using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Build and evolve shared business logic, domain, networking and platform integration layers across Android and iOS
• Make pragmatic decisions around shared vs platform-specific implementation
• Own technical delivery from design and implementation through testing, release and post-release support
• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation and technical discussions
• Conduct high-quality code reviews and help raise engineering standards across the team
• Work closely with backend engineers on API integration, architecture and technical trade-offs
• Identify and drive improvements across mobile performance, reliability, observability and maintainability
• Investigate complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis
• Improve CI/CD, automation and mobile release processes
• Contribute to scalable mobile architecture and repeatable engineering practices across multiple products and markets

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years' professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience developing production mobile applications at scale
• Strong production experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Experience delivering applications across both Android and iOS using shared cross-platform modules
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns and modularisation
• Strong Kotlin development experience
• Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services and third-party platforms
• Strong understanding of client-side networking and mobile performance
• Strong experience with unit testing and automated testing
• Experience with version control, peer code reviews and collaborative engineering practices
• Exposure to CI/CD, mobile release management, crash reporting and observability tooling
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working as a senior, hands-on individual contributor within a cross-functional product and engineering team
• Experience influencing technical standards, development practices or engineering quality within a team

A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in software engineering is preferred.
