Job summary

Android Jobs is seeking an experienced Senior Android Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and optimise applications for custom Android devices used in Point of Sale and payments. You will contribute to architecture, support CI/CD, and ensure software quality throughout the lifecycle.

You will mentor developers, collaborate with Product, QA, Engineering, and Operations, and drive performance improvements, offline data handling, and robust testing with Espresso/JUnit in a fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Android development experience.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Android Mobile Engineer to join their team, responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimising Android applications deployed on custom Android devices for Point of Sale and payment solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable and high-performing mobile applications, contributing to technical architecture, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle. This role requires strong Kotlin and Java development skills, expert knowledge of Android SDK and architecture, and experience with DevOps practices, automated testing, and continuous delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with Product, QA, Engineering, and Operations teams, provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and support production deployments and ongoing application improvements.
