Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on aircraft airframe structures, landing gear, doors, and other related systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance instructions to perform complex maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve airframe-related technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to flight schedules.
• Supervise and guide junior maintenance engineers and technicians, providing technical assistance and training.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, including parts used and time spent, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless aircraft maintenance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs for airframe components.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and aviation authorities' standards.
• Manage inventory of airframe spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability and proper storage.
• Respond to AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations and implement effective solutions to restore aircraft to service.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft airframe maintenance.
• Proven expertise in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial aircraft airframes (e.g., Boeing, Airbus).
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• A relevant trade qualification or degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent recognized certification.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
