Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for our East London hub. You will lead maintenance on a diverse fleet, perform diagnostics, and ensure airworthiness while mentoring junior technicians.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy and line maintenance, an AME license, strong problem-solving, and CMMS proficiency. You will work shifts including weekends and on-call, upholding aviation safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various aircraft systems, including airframes, engines, avionics, and electrical systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to accurately identify and resolve aircraft faults.
• Supervise and guide junior maintenance technicians, providing technical assistance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Document all maintenance activities, including parts used, labor hours, and test results, in the aircraft logbook and maintenance system.
• Manage inventory of aircraft parts and components, ensuring proper storage and handling.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, responding promptly to emergent maintenance needs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in aircraft maintenance, with a strong focus on heavy maintenance and line maintenance.
• Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license or equivalent certification.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex aircraft issues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Excellent understanding of aviation safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaunt effectively with various stakeholders.
