Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Principal AI Ethicist to guide the ethical framework and responsible AI development across the organization in Centurion. You will assess societal impact of AI systems, develop guidelines, and ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations.

The role collaborates with Legal, Engineering and Product teams to embed ethics into design, conducts risk assessments, and leads training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in philosophy, ethics, law, sociology, or related field with tech ethics specialization.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and societal implications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI ethics policies across the AI lifecycle.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for new AI products and features.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams to integrate ethics into design and implementation.
• Advise leadership on ethical challenges and regulatory landscapes related to AI.
• Develop and deliver training programs on AI ethics for employees across the organization.
