Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Aeronautical Engineer to join a design team focusing on aircraft concepts, analysis, and testing in Mahikeng. You will push aviation technology boundaries while ensuring performance, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires a strong foundation in aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, and flight dynamics, with collaboration across engineers and technicians to take designs from concept to reality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft design or related aerospace roles.
• Proficiency with CATIA, SolidWorks, or ANSYS.
• Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, structures, and flight dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerodynamic analysis and design, including CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing.
• Conduct structural analysis and design of aircraft components using finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
• Contribute to the design and integration of aircraft propulsion systems.
• Develop and analyze flight dynamics and control systems for aircraft.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for project reviews.
• Stay current with advancements in aerospace technology and suggest innovative solutions.
