Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Wireless Network Engineer to join their deployment team in Port Elizabeth. You will plan, configure, and test 5G wireless infrastructure to ensure high performance and seamless integration with existing networks.

You will lead RF planning, site surveys, and optimization of base stations, antennas, and core network elements, while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of wireless network engineering experience, with a focus on 5G deployment.
• Deep knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, RAN, and core network architecture.
• Experience with RF planning tools, drive testing, and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with MIMO, beamforming, and network slicing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and deploy 5G wireless networks, including site surveys and RF planning.
• Configure base stations, antennas, and core network elements for coverage.
• Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of wireless components.
• Monitor network performance and maintain high availability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project delivery.
• Stay updated on 5G technology and wireless standards.
