Job summary

Placements24 in Rustenburg is recruiting a Senior 3D Modeler to lead the creation of high-quality characters, props and environments for games and VFX projects. You will own complex modeling tasks and help optimize assets for real-time or rendered pipelines.

You will collaborate with the art director, concept artists and technical artists, and you will mentor junior modelers while upholding modeling standards and best practices. On-site facilities and full benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler in games or VFX.
• Strong artistic eye for form, proportion and detail.
• Ability to mentor junior artists and work in a team.
• Proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush and Substance Painter.

Responsibilities

• Create high-poly and low-poly 3D models for characters, props, and environments.
• Develop and maintain UV layouts, textures, and materials.
• Optimize models for real-time engines or render pipelines.
• Collaborate with art directors and concept artists to realize visuals.
• Mentor junior 3D modelers and help refine modeling standards.
