Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly creative and technically skilled 3D Animator & Modeler to join our client’s team in Pretoria. You'll create realistic and stylized 3D assets and animations for architectural visuals and entertainment projects, collaborating with concept artists, designers, and directors to bring virtual worlds to life.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 4 years in 3D animation or modeling, and proficiency in Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in animation/CG.
• 4+ years of professional 3D animation or modeling experience.
• Strong portfolio with high-quality 3D models and animations.
• Proficiency in major 3D software and asset pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Model, texture, and rig 3D characters, environments, and props.
• Animate characters and objects with realistic timing and emotion.
• Create detailed 3D environments and scenes.
• Collaborate with concept artists and art directors to match style and quality.
• Optimize models and scenes for real-time or final rendering.
• Stay updated on 3D software and rendering techniques.
