Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Senior 3D Modeler for our Polokwane studio to create high-quality assets and collaborate with concept artists, animators, and art directors to achieve fidelity across characters, environments, and props.

You will develop both high- and low-poly models, optimize for real-time engines, build textures with PBR workflows, and ensure adherence to style guides while delivering polished results.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler.
• Expert proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, or Blender.
• Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, texturing, and PBR workflows.
• Experience with creating models for real-time applications or game engines.
• Portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality 3D modeling work.

Responsibilities

• Create high-poly and low-poly 3D models for characters, props, and environments.
• Optimize models for performance and compatibility with game engines or rendering pipelines.
• Develop detailed textures and materials for 3D assets.
• Collaborate with art directors and designers to achieve desired visual outcomes.
• Ensure all models adhere to project-specific technical requirements and style guides.
• Participate in model reviews and provide constructive feedback to other modelers.
