Job summary

West Coast Personnel seeks an experienced Section Manager to lead Charge Room operations in a manufacturing setting. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will drive production performance, coordinate maintenance, and lead Shift Supervisors to achieve targets through continuous improvement.

The role demands a strong leadership style, extensive experience in electrical production, and proven ability to manage budgets and drive efficiency. On-site work and a focus on safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 10 years' experience in electrical production/manufacturing operations.
• Minimum 5 years' supervisory or management experience.
• Computer literate (MS Office and production systems).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve production systems to maximise efficiency, productivity and output.
• Monitor production performance, investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production Control and Maintenance to optimise equipment availability.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and meet targets.
• Ensure production standards, procedures and operating methods are followed.
• Identify operational risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and represent the department in meetings.
• Lead, coach and develop Shift Supervisors through performance management.
• Contribute to budgeting, monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement across production operations.
