Job summary

West Coast Personnel seeks an experienced Section Manager to lead Charge Room operations in a Port Elizabeth manufacturing facility. You will report to the Production Manager, drive production performance and coordinate maintenance activities while guiding Shift Supervisors toward meeting targets through continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates bring 10 years in electrical production/manufacturing and 5 years in supervision, with strong MS Office and production systems proficiency.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Engineering/electrical technical qualification (NQF 5) is required.
• Trade test as Electrician or Millwright is required.
• Accounting and supervisory management certificate is required.
• NQF 6 Diploma or BEng/BE is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve production systems to maximise efficiency, productivity and output.
• Monitor production performance, investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production Control and Maintenance to optimise equipment availability.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and meet targets.
• Ensure standards, procedures and methods are consistently applied.
• Identify operational risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop Shift Supervisors, drive performance and development.
• Assist budgeting, monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Promote continuous improvement across production operations.
