Job summary

Salt in Cape Town is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to drive organic growth in a fast-paced, competitive digital environment. You will own SEO strategy, conduct keyword research, optimize content for intent, and perform technical audits to improve crawlability and Core Web Vitals.

You’ll collaborate with developers, build links, monitor metrics, and apply E-E-A-T to boost credibility. Experience in SA betting/sports is a plus; hybrid role with 4 days in office and 1 day WFH.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in a dedicated SEO role.
• Proven track record of improving organic rankings and traffic.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge.
• Experience with Google Search Console & GA4.
• Experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs or Moz.
• Understanding of structured data/schema markup.
• Knowledge or interest in AEO, GEO and AI search optimisation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to translate SEO insights into commercial recommendations.
• Experience in the South African betting/sports environment would be advantageous, along with a genuine interest in sport and digital trends.

What’s on offer:

Important: This role is based in Granger Bay, Cape Town, with 4 days per week in the office. The maximum salary budget is R58 000.
