Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the Software Development Lifecycle for new product development in Port Elizabeth. You will lead software projects from conception through deployment and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high quality.
The role requires deep knowledge of software development processes, strong leadership, and the ability to manage diverse technical teams.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in project management for software development.
- Experience leading projects through the full SDLC.
- Proficiency with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, technologies, and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the SDLC from requirements to maintenance.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate communication between development teams, QA, product management, and stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that affect delivery.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and QA processes.
- Track progress and provide status updates to management.
