About PwC SATIC:
PwC South Africa Technology and Innovation Centre (SATIC) is a technology-enabled, people-led delivery organisation that helps PwC territories build scalable capability, strengthen operational resilience and deliver high-quality services.
About the role:
Build and scale a South Africa-based Risk delivery capability for one of PwC's international territories, and lead it from design through to steady-state.
As the International Territory Risk Operations Lead, you will be the dedicated SATIC relationship and delivery lead for an International Territory Risk team. Reporting to the Risk Cluster Lead, you will lead the operating-model design, onboarding and scaling of the capability, translating strategy and demand forecasts into a sustainable, high-performing delivery centre.
What you will do:
- Act as a trusted partner to senior International Territory Risk leaders, aligning priorities across the territory and SATIC.
- Design and build the target operating model, organisation structure, governance and decision rights.
- Own the offshoring roadmap, demand forecasting, workforce and capacity planning, and scenario modelling.
- Lead service onboarding, mobilisation, go-live, stabilisation and scale-up.
- Run portfolio governance, service-level and quality frameworks, management information and escalations.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation and reusable delivery approaches.
What you will bring:
- 8+ years' progressive experience in global delivery centres, shared services or professional services.
- Experience in leading teams of 100+ people and influencing senior stakeholders across borders.
- A proven track record of end-to-end operating-model design, transition and scale-up.
- Strong workforce planning and capacity management experience within a demand-led environment.
- A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in business, operations, risk, project management or a related field.
- Exposure to risk, compliance or other risk-sensitive services is advantageous.

This is a South Africa-based role, requiring regular overlap with the international territory’s working hours. Periodic travel between SATIC locations may also be required.
Responsibilities include:

- Ensures changes have clear sponsorship, scope, impacts, controls, communications, training, adoption actions and post-implementation review.
- Challenges proposed changes where readiness, capacity, dependencies or benefits are not sufficiently clear.
- Accountable for the integrity of the International Territory Risk workforce and capacity plan within SATIC and for recommendations on capacity allocation across sub-teams.
- Provides resource, demand and scenario inputs to recruitment plans, business cases, budgets, forecasts and commercial discussions.
- Monitors the delivery and cost implications of hiring, vacancies, attrition, training, demand changes and temporary capacity options.
- Does not replace formal budget, pricing or service-line accountabilities; ensures decisions are informed by an integrated portfolio view.
Communication and Interaction required:
- Reports to and works closely with the Risk Cluster Lead.
- Provides coaching, challenge and structured coordination; direct line‑management scope will depend on the approved operating model.
- Works across SATIC clusters and delivery functions to coordinate shared capability, location, technology, reporting and transformation dependencies.
- Contributes to SATIC leadership discussions where International Territory Risk portfolio decisions have wider delivery implications.
- Partners with Human Capital, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Technology, Procurement, Risk, Legal, PMO and Operations on workforce, commercial, systems, contracting, control and change requirements.
- Maintains senior relationships across the International Territory Risk team and other relevant territory enabling functions.
- Leads or coordinates portfolio reviews, discovery sessions, design workshops, mobilisation governance, workforce discussions, escalation forums and growth planning.
- May engage approved suppliers or contingent workforce partners where specialist capability or short-term capacity is required.
- Ensures supplier engagement is coordinated with the appropriate SATIC owners and aligned to quality, security, risk, value and contractual expectations.
- May represent SATIC and the Risk Cluster in relevant delivery‑centre, workforce, operational excellence or professional services forums.
Industry Experience:
- Professional services, risk or compliance operations, managed services, shared services, global capability centres or other complex service environments.
- Cross-border or cross‑territory delivery involving senior stakeholders, formal governance and high expectations for quality and confidentiality.
- Workforce-intensive operations where demand fluctuates and capacity must be forecast, scheduled, redeployed or supplemented across teams.
- Transformation involving service migration, operating-model design, organisation design, process standardisation, technology enablement or scale‑up.
This is a South Africa-based role, requiring regular overlap with the international territory’s working hours. Periodic travel between SATIC locations may also be required. During the full training period, attendance in the office will be required on a daily basis. Following the completion of training, candidates will transition to a hybrid working model. Please note that PwC SATIC is currently refining its hybrid working approach, and this remains subject to change in line with business, client, and team requirements.
