Job summary

Deloitte in South Africa is seeking an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise Salesforce solutions for our clients. You will translate business requirements into scalable architectures and guide the implementation team to success.

You will lead multi-cloud designs, ensure governance and security, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes across industries.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Salesforce experience with 3+ years in a lead/architect role.
• Certifications: App Builder, Experience Cloud, Sales/Service/Industry Cloud; Salesforce Certified.
• Strong Salesforce customization, DevOps, and third-party integration skills (MuleSoft a plus).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and agile leadership experience.

Responsibilities

About the Division

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Salesforce Solution Architect to join our growing consulting customer team. This role will be critical in designing and delivering complex, enterprise-level Salesforce solutions for our clients. As a Salesforce Solution Architect, you will work with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into well-architected solutions, and guide the implementation team to deliver effective Salesforce-based systems. This role requires deep knowledge of Salesforce products, excellent client‑facing skills, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership

• Outcome‑Driven Accountability: Embrace and drive a culture of accountability for customer and business outcomes. Develop solutions that solve complex business problems with valuable outcomes, ensuring high‑quality, lean designs and implementations.
• Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Serve as the technical advocate for Salesforce solutions, ensuring architectural integrity, feasibility, and alignment with business and customer goals. Responsible for solution architecture blueprints, high‑level architecture designs, and integration architecture into the technical landscape and technology stack.
• Effective Communication and Influence: Exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly. Inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels through well‑structured arguments and trade‑offs supported by evidence, evaluations, and research.
• Practice growth: Support go to market and pre‑sales activities by crafting compelling proposals and solution designs tailored to client needs. Lead the design and delivery of targeted Proof of Concepts, Salesforce Demos to showcase the value of Salesforce.

2. Salesforce Solution Design and Architecture

• Multi‑cloud Architecture: Define and implement Salesforce architecture strategies, incorporating multi‑cloud solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) leveraging latest platform capabilities.
• Quality Assurance: Provide technical guidance on best practices, security, and governance of Salesforce implementations.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Integration: Work collaboratively with empowered, cross‑functional teams. Integrate diverse perspectives to make well‑informed decisions that balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value. Foster a collaborative environment that enhances team synergy and innovation.
• Data architecture: Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems through robust data modelling, data mapping and integration strategies.
• Transformative Salesforce Roadmap: Provide thought leadership into salesforce transformation roadmaps, guiding client through their digital transformation journey and balancing business objectives with executable implementations.

3. Team Collaboration and Mentorship

• Mentor and coach junior architects and developers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Actively grow a team of experts in implementing impactful Salesforce solutions, driving knowledge sharing in the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:

• 7+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead role at a consulting firm.
• App Builder, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Industry Cloud, Architect certifications preferred, Salesforce Certified.
• Proficiency in Salesforce platform customisations, DevOps, third‑party integrations. Experience with MuleSoft or other middleware is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Critical thinking. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in leading project phases from conception to deployment is essential. Agile certifications such as SaFE, Scrum Master are a plus.
• Candidate should have a track record of delivering successfully Salesforce technology implementations projects.
