As the Sales Team Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that sales targets are consistently met, while continuously working to improve conversion rates and overall team performance.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a Sales Manager or Team Lead role, preferably in a collections, financial services, or call centre environment.
- Proven track record of managing large teams in a target-driven setting
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Highly goal-oriented with the ability to motivate and bring out the best in others
- Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
- Proficient in sales performance tools, CRM systems, and reporting platforms
- A resilient, positive attitude, with the ability to thrive under pressure and lead by example
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively manages and oversees both Sales Offices to ensure optimal sales performance.
- Must have a data-driven and psychoanalytic approach to sales training and performance enforcement
- Responsible for identifying and recruiting employees who fit into the company culture and performance expectations
- Responsible for setting, monitoring, and achieving sales targets (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly).
- Conduct one-on-ones and performance reviews with sales personnel
- Monitor and interpret key sales metrics, focusing on average deal value and conversion rates
- Track and analyse sales performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare and submit weekly sales and marketing reports with respect to client categories
- Oversee payroll calculations for the sales team, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
- Responsible for calculating commissions based on individual and team performance
- Ensure commission structures are fair, motivating, and aligned with business goals
- Ensure that the sales team operates efficiently without over-managing the team.
