HIRING | Sales Representative - Packaging Manufacturer Based: Johannesburg West, Gauteng Salary: R20 000 - R25 000 per month + R5 000 petrol allowance + commission Permanent position

Introduction

An established packaging manufacturer is seeking a driven Sales Representative to grow and service its customer base across Gauteng. This is a hands‑on external sales role suited to someone who prefers being in front of customers rather than behind a desk, and who wants earnings tied directly to performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customer accounts
• Identify and develop new business within the assigned territory
• Conduct regular on-site customer visits, product presentations and needs assessments
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, and negotiate pricing within approved margins
• Liaise between customers and the internal order processing and production teams to ensure delivery expectations are met
• Resolve customer queries, delivery issues and complaints
• Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence back to management
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
• Maintain accurate call records, pipeline data and sales reporting
• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum 3 years' external sales experience, preferably in packaging, manufacturing, or a related B2B industrial environment
• Valid Code 08 driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets (figures will be discussed at interview)
