New York Hardware, a decorative hardware retailer, is seeking a detail‑oriented Sales & Order Support Specialist to join remotely. You will translate customer requests into correctly built orders and help ensure accuracy and timely processing.

You will enter orders in NetSuite and Shopify, confirm details with customers, and keep notes organized to prevent errors. Experience with architectural hardware is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in sales support, inside sales, order processing, or customer service.
• Experience with decorative hardware, architectural hardware, or related home-improvement retail.
• Excellent written and spoken English, comfortable with phone, email and chat.
• Experience with ERP/ecommerce platforms; NetSuite or Shopify is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Build and enter customer orders accurately in NetSuite and Shopify, verifying item numbers, finishes, quantities, and pricing.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email, and chat to confirm order details and provide lead-time estimates.
• Catch and resolve discrepancies before an order is finalized — wrong finish, incomplete sets, mismatched hardware.
• Follow up on incomplete or pending orders to keep them moving toward completion.
• Hand off complex requests to the in-house sales/CS team with clear notes.
• Recommend matching or complementary decorative hardware where relevant.
• Keep organized, accurate notes on every order and customer interaction.

New York Hardware is a decorative hardware retailer based in Costa Mesa, California, specializing in architectural hardware from leading brands such as Emtek, Baldwin, Top Knobs, Amerock, Schaub, and Deltana. We serve homeowners, designers, contractors, and trade professionals nationwide.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Sales & Order Support Specialist to join our team remotely. This role exists to make sure every customer order is accurate, complete, and moving forward — taking that workload off our in-house sales and customer service team. You'll translate customer requests (finish, size, quantity, matching sets) into correctly built orders and catch problems before they become returns or complaints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and enter customer orders accurately in NetSuite and Shopify, verifying item numbers, finishes, quantities, and pricing
• Communicate directly with customers by phone, email, and chat to confirm order details, answer product questions, and provide lead-time estimates
• Catch and resolve discrepancies before an order is finalized — wrong finish selected, incomplete sets, mismatched hardware, etc.
• Follow up on incomplete or pending orders to keep them moving toward completion
• Hand off complex or escalated requests to the in-house sales/CS team with clear notes
• Recommend matching or complementary decorative hardware (e.g., matching cabinet pulls, hinges, door sets) where relevant
• Keep organized, accurate notes on every order and customer interaction

Key Requirements:

• 2+ years in sales support, inside sales, order processing, or customer service
• Prior experience with decorative hardware, architectural hardware, building products, or a closely related home-improvement/design retail category strongly preferred — full product training will be provided, but candidates should come in with a head start
• Excellent written and spoken English — comfortable speaking directly with customers by phone, email, and chat
• Strong attention to detail — comfortable matching precise product specs (finishes, SKUs, dimensions)
• Experience with an ERP or ecommerce platform (NetSuite and/or Shopify a plus — training provided)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with decorative/architectural hardware brands (Emtek, Baldwin, Top Knobs, Amerock, Schaub, Deltana) or similar home-improvement products
• Background in interior design, remodeling, or luxury home goods retail
• Prior experience working remotely for a US-based company
