Job summary

Schlemmer Durban is seeking an Internal Sales Consultant with a passion for customer service and knowledge of cabinetry hardware. You will handle enquiries, provide product information, quotations and stock availability, and build relationships with retailers, installers and manufacturers.

You will follow up on quotes and orders, process orders in the internal system, track deliveries, and provide technical assistance to help customers select fittings and solutions.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent.
• Experience in Internal Sales or customer service.
• Cabinetry hardware knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Technical product understanding.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with SAP ERP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming sales enquiries via telephone, email and showroom consultations.
• Provide customers with product information, pricing, quotations and stock availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, installers and manufacturers.
• Follow up on quotations and outstanding orders and convert leads into sales.
• Capture and process customer orders accurately on the internal system.
• Track order progress, deliveries and back orders.
• Provide technical assistance and help customers select the correct fittings and solutions.
• Liaise with warehouse, logistics, finance and external sales teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Provide after-sales support and assist with customer queries or issues.
• Maintain accurate CRM and sales administration.
