Job summary

Stonebridge HR Solutions is looking for a seasoned field sales professional in Gauteng to grow our pharmaceutical and health product accounts. You will manage existing customers and prospect new business, while ensuring in-store execution and effective product placement.

You will train store staff, maintain relationships, and travel for country trips as needed; a valid driver’s license and own vehicle are required. Competitive salary plus commission offered.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• 5+ years external (field) sales experience.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical sales / field merchandising in retail / beauty / health industry.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Must own vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel country trips; costs covered.

Responsibilities

• Manage an existing database and develop new business.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships.
• In-store execution: clean displays, refresh materials, ensure optimal product placement.
• Drive product orders across full range and upsell where possible.
• Train in-store staff on products and customer interaction.
• Visit national retail head offices and complete required activities for remuneration.
• Attend trade shows and promotional events, including some weekends.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• 5+ years external (field) Sales experience
• Experience in Pharmaceutical sales / field merchandising in retail / beauty / health industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
• Customer focused and able to prioritize long-term client relationships over short-term wins. Understands customer needs and provides solutions.

• Comfortable with cold calling and sourcing new clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage an existing database as well new business development
• Client Relationship Management:
• Service and maintain a well-established existing customer base and build strong relationships with customers.
• Actively identify and acquire new business through proactive outreach and cold calling.
• In-Store Execution:
• Clean, dust, and maintain display stands at customer sites.
• Set up and refresh in-store marketing materials and ensure products are in optimal display locations.
• Negotiate and secure in-store marketing and promotional opportunities.
• Sales & Order Generation:
• Proactively drive product orders across the full range—not just reactive order taking.
• Assess stock levels and trends to offer smart replenishment suggestions and upselling.
• Staff Training & Service Delivery:
• Train in-store staff on our products, including hygiene, technique, and customer interaction.
• Support the store team to ensure service consistency and professionalism.
• Chain Store Account Management:
• Visit national retail head office customers and complete required activities during these visits to qualify for visit-based remuneration.
• Trade Shows & Special Events:
• Attend and work at company trade shows or promotional events, including over occasional weekends (with prior notice).
