Source Sales leads by analyzing niche markets and routes.
Through these leads, establish contacts and liaise with companies within these markets/routes.
Target potential clients and follow up by contacting them.
Determine whether the potential client requires our services, schedule and confirm an appointment where necessary.
Visit clients to explain the services we offer and ascertain the clients requirements & freight specifications.
Evaluate the profitability of taking on the business.
Present estimates and proposals, both verbally and in written form.
Negotiate rates within a given parameter.
Attend to incoming telephone queries and enquiries from potential clients.
Facilitate processing of credit applications.
Obtain the credit application from the client and submit to Head Office for approval.
Obtain any further information required by the National Credit Manager in granting the credit.
Client servicing: make sure a new client's profile is conveyed to the relevant departments.
Visit or telephone existing clients.
Establish whether the clients requirements have been met and discuss problems or concerns regarding the service provided.
Liaise with the relevant departmental managers regarding client requirements or problems, and resolve problems accordingly.
Report back to clients on the company's progress or conclusion with regards to their requirements or problems.
Inform clients of any changes relevant to their business i.e. customs procedures, rate changes, etc.
Report on weekly activities and progress in respect of action plans.
Report back to the source of the sales lead on the outcome.
Comply with the management of the quality management system.
Understand and adhere to the job descriptions and work instructions.
Establish the requirements of the client and conform to them.
