Job summary

Primeserv Denverdraft is seeking a Sales Engineer for the pump industry based in Nelspruit. The role focuses on servicing OEM customers, engineering consultants, project houses and municipalities while expanding market share and maintaining strong technical knowledge.

The successful candidate will manage SAP quotations, process orders, coordinate with production, and track tenders and deliveries. A 4-year pump sales background and proficiency in Microsoft 365 are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of sales experience in the pump industry.
• Matric / Tertiary Mechanical N4 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Call on existing OEMs, engineers, project houses and municipalities to grow the business.
• Follow up weekly on open tenders and quotations.
• Perform onsite fault finding and problem solving on pumps and systems.
• Select pumps using pump and selection software.
• Load and update projects on C4C weekly with customer contacts and files.
• Liaise with factory and production on orders in the system.
• Ensure delivery dates and order status are communicated to customers.

Job description

Sales Engineer (pump industry) required for our market leading, global OEM to be based in Nelspruit. We require candidates with approximately 4 years’ pump sales experience in a similar role with strong technical, pump component knowledge.
Key Accountabilities:

• Call on existing OEM's customers while making every effort to expand the customer base and markets.
• Call on consulting engineers, project houses and municipalities.
• Stay up to date on market trends, competition, new projects and tenders.
• Follow up weekly on open tenders and quotations.
• Perform onsite fault finding and problem solving on pumps and systems.
• Select pumps using pump and selection software competently.
• Compile SAP quotations for pumps and spares and process orders on SAP.
• Process orders for manufacturing or buy-out items.
• Follow through on orders from loading on the system to the delivery stage.
• Liaise with the factory and production division when orders are in the system.
• Liaise with customers regarding order status and delivery dates.
• Load and update projects on C4C weekly, including customer contacts and company files.
• Maintain protocol in handling claims and assist fellow branch staff.
• Meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Increase market share and seek new opportunities for growth.
• Assist with in-house repairs, inspections, assessments and other duties as requested by management and customers.
• Operate the overhead crane and forklift and carry out deliveries.
• Receive and dispatch stock and conduct cycle counts.
• In addition to these functions, you are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.

Education:

• Matric / Tertiary Mechanical N4 or higher.

Experienced:

• 4 years sales experience in the pump Industry.
